The “Fourth World Social Work Day Forum,” organized in collaboration with Tarsus University Department of Social Work, Mersin University Department of Social Work and Counseling, and the Mersin Branch of the Association of Social Workers (SHUDER), brought together academic knowledge and field experience on a shared platform.

Held under the theme “Social Problems and the Search for Solutions: Building Hope and Harmony Together,” the forum brought together academics, social workers, representatives of public institutions, and students.

Within the scope of the forum, various topics were addressed through thematic working groups and group work sessions, including family and women’s welfare, child welfare, youth welfare, forensic social work, social work in local governments, addiction, disability, ageing, poverty, social work in health care, school social work, migration and integration, and the climate crisis and disasters.

In addition, solution proposals for social problems were discussed comprehensively with the aim of ensuring the sustainability of social welfare. Feedback reports and final evaluations prepared as part of the forum were also shared with the participants.
