Student Outcomes

 
1. Defining, classifying and interpreting the basic and current theories and concepts of social work.
2. Understanding social problems with scientific methods, observing social justice and human rights in solving these problems.
3. Interpreting the society and social problems and analyzing the problems.
4. Knowing and understanding the effects of social systems and culture on human behavior and using this knowledge in social work practices, in this context, assimilating the theories of human behavior and social systems and developing cultural competence.
5. To comprehend the basic concepts and methods of each of the social sciences such as psychology, sociology, philosophy, anthropology, law, business administration, economics, public administration and to have the ability to apply this knowledge in the field of social work.
6. To contribute to the development of social policies and service models by using the knowledge of social welfare services on the basis of differences/diversity within the social structure.
7. Awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning, the ability to access information, to follow developments in science and technology and to constantly renew oneself.
8. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in Turkish; knowledge of at least one foreign language.
9. Awareness of the universality of social rights, environmental protection, cultural values, occupational health and safety.
10. Ability to follow national and international developments related to the field and to easily adapt to the innovations required by the developments, adhering to professional ethical rules.
